Sledding Fun!!!

Building a huge snow man works up a real appetite for sledding. Daddy got the track all made up then it was off to the races. The kids couldn't get enough of sledding down our hill. Even Luke got in on the action. (Don't be too worried about Luke, it was actually 36 degrees outside and very mild). We all had a great time, and the kids took awesome naps...even better! What a fun Monday we had with Daddy home on Mid-Winter Break.

The Birth of the Rottier Snow Man

Potty time....or it that Party time??

Jake insisted on sitting on the potty. He actually went too, but he was far too busy drinking out of a big boy cup to even notice. I got all excited and said, "Jakey you did it" He didn't even bat an eyelash!! Then all of a sudden he grunted and groaned...toot!! Jake's face lights up and he said "Yeah!!!!" Well, if there was such a thing as gas training I suppose that Jacob has it down!! Better luck this summer!

O.K. well you can believe that if you want, they aren't too sweet though! Funny and quite entertaining though! The big kids fight constantly and Luke just watches from the sidelines...taking notes I'm sure!!

Going on a bike ride

It was a beautiful day so we took a walk. Anna had a blast riding her bike. Jake and Luke just chilled out in the stroller. I didn't even have to wear a coat! It was a glorious taste of spring.

Cars!!!

We had the family over for a Cars themed birthday party after church. Jake LOVES the movie Cars and anything that has to do with it! Anna and Jake had a great time playing with all his new toys! Thank you to everyone who came over...thanks a lot for the NOISY TOYS!!!! AUGH!

Luke's Dedication Day

We had Luke dedicated today. Out of our normal "Father's Day" norm because we really wanted Pastor Burlingame to dedicate Luke (as he did our other two). There were 9 or 10 children total ranging in age from 3 years to 2 months. Luke (and all the babies) did very well up in front of the church. Grandma Grover, Grandma & Grandpa Rottier, Uncle Steve, Aunt Kate, Uncle Dan and Aunt Noelle all joined us in our celebration!

I'm 7 months old today!!

Today I know how to sit up, eat my toys, get my toes, laugh out loud, hold my own bottle, screech real loud, sleep all night and 3 naps during the day. I like to eat solids (when my mommy remembers!!) I am getting up on all 4's especially in my bed when I want out! I use a sippy cup (again, if my mommy remembers that I can have one now!) I actually interact with my siblings, I roll all over the place, I am a very big boy! I weigh around 21 pounds and wear 12 month clothes already! Mommy thinks I have size 3 feet, and Jake and I wear the same size diapers now!!! Guess that means I am doing pretty well for a 7 month old, huh?

All Rottier all the time!!!

Daddy was banned from watching Dukes of Hazzard when he was little because him and the other boys wanted grandpa to jump the tracks....well, I don't really know how I am going to "ban" the couch! Jake thinks that the couch is like a diving board...a fun stunt to try...Dare Devil Jake is his name, and freaking his mommy out is his game!!! (I know I took the photos, but I couldn't help it!)

What are these things???

Due to all the "rolls" that my son has, it took Luke a bit longer than his older siblings to find his feet. But tonight he did it! He got those toes right up and in his mouth. Once I put his sleeper all the way on he couldn't get them to his mouth anymore...mommy ruined the fun! Bummer!

CHEESE!

Can you tell that Luke actually likes baths now. It took over 3 months for him to actually be happy during and after a bath. Now he thinks he is hot stuff!

Today Jakey turned 2!!

We always have some type of cake on the kids birthday, this year we did a huge one! Daddy came home really quick on his lunch break to sing happy birthday and to eat cake with the birthday boy. (He has a big wrestling meet tonight so he wouldn't have been able to see Jake). Jake loved the frosting on the cake the best. His favorite present (and first present this year) was from Nick and Ellie (our buddies who moved to Colorado). While the race car is very LOUD, Jake LOVES it very much! Thank you Nick and Ellie!! We miss you lots!

Playing in the mountains of snow

Finally a day that wasn't so nasty cold outside. After playing on the piles of snow for 20 minutes, Anna was crying to go inside (she says she was cold). Jake was crying because he didn't want to go inside (not so cold I guess). She I plopped him on the back porch and he "shoveled" with Reagan for another 30 minutes. Now, it is snowing like crazy again! AUGH! Will it ever end?!

The Boys

I was attempting to get good 6 month pictures of Luke and good 2 year pictures of Jake. Luke did well for a few minutes, Jake on the other hand thought the whole experience was not his style...Anna only allowed one picture at 2 years, so I guess I am lucky!

The Great West Michigan Blizzard of 07

O.K. Seriously I don't think I have ever seen so much snow in a 3 day time span. Our snow banks in the driveway are up to my hips!!!!! Because of the subzero temps and the windchill well below zero I haven't been able to do a snow pic. with the kids yet, maybe today I will try!!! Mike cleaned the driveway and deck 5 times a day with the snow blower. Even the snow blower resisted the icy temps. We had to put a space heater in the garage to keep the poor thing warm enough to work!! Enough is enough!! Winter can end now!

My first sippy cup experience

Mike had a snow day on Monday and Tuesday (boo hoo He had school on Wednesday). While I went out to take pictures of our snowy mess Mike and Luke watched from the window...I think that we are losing it! Need to get out soon!!!

Super Bowl Sunday Party with Our Kids

It's pretty sad when the only people you can find who want to watch the Super Bowl with you are your own children! Just kidding, actually the weather was soooo awful no one wanted to brave the icy, white out conditions.
