Sad to say, I didn't dress Anna and Jake in game day gear (I know, so not like me!) Anna has a cute cheerleader outfit that she hasn't worn yet (I want to be here to see her wear it!) and sadly, I don't have any shirts for Jake! Gotta get my buns in gear and buy some! Mike and I are off to the game in an hour...I am more nervous than excited! There is a big article in the GR press about the spread offense and how we aren't supposed to look away while we are on offense as it is going to be a fast paced game. AUGH! I am nervous!! Go Blue!

My First Gymnastics Trick!

Anna started at a new gymnastics company on Tuesday. I felt like she was way behind the other little girls in her class, but her instructor assured me that she is right where she should be! To show you her progress, she couldn't do a bridge on her own (correctly) Tuesday, and here she is today...perfected! She is so excited! P.S. she got to choose her own outfit today and her choice was greens!!

All pretty for church

I thought the kids cleaned up pretty well this morning, so before they left, and before I go to sleep, I thought I would share a couple photos! Sorry a couple are blurry, must be the lack of sleep on my part!

The final camping experience of the summer...

We camped at Hoffmaster State Park this week. It was alot of fun. As you can see, we went to the beach a lot! All three kids love the water and the sand...Jake even went out with daddy and touched the bouy! He was pretty excited about that one! Thurs. night we had lots of visitors, Uncle Danny, Aunt Noelle and Calli Jo came, as did our friends Jamie and Amber! As you can see, Calli really likes cookies (almost as much as her cousin Luke!) Mike's birthday fell on a day during this week, so Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Katie got him a cake...the only candles we had were the bug repellent ones...at least there was two to signify 32!? Anna also had her well check this week while we were at camp (I know 2 1/2 months late!) She is in the 20% for height and weight, a far cry from her 50th% brother, Jake and our "over the top" boy Luke! We are home now and trying to get all cleaned back up as school starts for Mike on Monday and I work the whole weekend, big bummer, but why not end the summer with a bash right?

Crazy Luke!

He is just too funny to not show you pics from today! Check out that tummy he is sporting! Oh! We found a new form of aerobics for Luke! Mike just plugged the base subwoofer (or whatever it is) back in now the the basement is pretty much finished, the kids think the base is the best thing ever. The point? Luke races around the living room running to any music we play! It's very funny to watch, I didn't think of video taping it, bad mom! Maybe next time!

Anna, monkey or gymnist?

I'll let you decide! Since the olympics have been on, Anna has been extra bouncy! This afternoon while Jake was with daddy running an errand, Anna, Luke and I were bouncing on the trampoline, swinging like monkies and jumping on the balance beam! Anna will probably start gymnastics up again next week...she asked if she would win a gold medal...I told her not an olympic one, but we could work on one closer to home!!!

Day 3 - Sault Ste. Marie and the Lake

They can say they weren't sleeping all they want, but we aren't going to believe them! The kids had fun seeing some big ships come through the Locks, then we went to the beach after a nap for the little ones!

The Log Run

This "run" was really, really steap...so there was NO way I was going down it! Great Grandpa and ma stayed up as well as Grandpa Rottier, Luke and Calli (phew!) My little petit chou's went down that dirty, sandy hill with their daddy, uncle Danny, Aunt Noelle, Aunt Katie...and sort of Grandma R...she only made it a 1/4 of the way down, don't blame her though! By the time everyone came up, they all looked miserable, tired, wet and dirty! Now, the funny part about this I ended up missing! Jake climbed up on Mike's back, kicked his heels into Mike's ribs and said something along the lines of, "Come on big boy you can do it!" This of course caused great pain as everyone laughed very hard! Another time everyone heard poor Jake, who was trying to walk by himself at this point, say "I just gotta get up this hill! I know I can do it!" AH, the funny things kids say!

Day 2 - Pictured Rocks and the Middle of Nowhere

These are in reverse order, we actually went to Pictured Rocks first, but I was too lazy to organize better (sorry!) After waking up bright and early we left camp around 9am to get over to Munising, where Pictured Rocks are at...2 hours across the middle of nowhere! We did the boat ride (2.5 hours) with 3, make that 4 young children and my advice? Don't do it until everyone can fend for themselves! AUGH! No it was alright, a bit of a struggle to keep them entertained and make sure they didn't jump out the windows of the boat! Just after we got off the boat it started to sprinkle (oh joy!) Then it was off to find all the waterfalls that go along with the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, that was an adventure. It was rainy and should have been fun, but with 3 (4) young children, not so much! We ended up traveling on a dirt trail...not really even a road and lost our "leader" so kindof got stuck...but found our way, as I am here typing this. We made our way to Grand Marais, where Noelle knew someone...what in the world? That girl knows EVERYONE! (hehe) We ate lunch at a beautiful lakeside park (Uncle Danny wants to camp there next year!) After food, we were off to the log run. I will post those next, this was actually used to throw the logs down from the top of the hill to Lake Superior. There was a beautiful rainbow and a light house off in the distance (which is Au Sable Pt.) We met some rustic hikers (more power to them) who hiked all over the place! Yuck, I need running water, bathrooms and electric otherwise no camping for me! This day started around 9 am and ended after 10pm, the kids were DEAD! It was fun, but I think next time we will break it up into a couple days!!!
