Swim lessons start again.....

We started the kids in fall swim lessons to keep their skills up. Luke screamed his guts out...very loud and distracting, but they put him straight in the water and he calmed right down and enjoyed the rest of the lessons...




Anna did fabulous and Jake...well, he actually did all the tasks that he was told to but, but had to be pushed into doing them and was kind of, I don't know, maybe fake crying while doing it!? In the end, all three kids were really excited to start lessons again and can't wait for next Saturday! Will there be more screaming!? Luke's picture is of him jumping in by himself...pretty funny after how he started! And the last pic is of the boys "chatting" with each other!! Naughty boys!!!

Future Hudsonville Cheerleader

This is our third year putting Anna in cheerleading. She loves it! Jake really is in the picture, but he is hiding behind his daddy!








She did a pretty good job this year of following along with the words of the cheers and was way into doing the jumps and stunts.

Our Boys First Day of Preschool

The LONG awaited first day of preschool! Jake and Luke are at the same school at the same times every week!!













They weren't excited were they? Luke wouldn't pose with his teachers because he was so excited, and he would barely look up at me once he was in his room! I guess I don't have to worry about them adjusting do I? Jake did awesome, picked out his name right away, gave me a hug and said "See you after school mommy". Sigh, my babies are growing up too fast!

AnnaJoy 1st Grader!!!!!!!

Today was AnnaJoy's first day of 1st grade! She was SOOOO excited! Daddy called her to wish her well on her first day, which totally made her day! Our house is still the bus stop and is WAY busier this year with 4 and sometimes 5 kids getting on! All boys except for Anna though...of course!





This year I didn't stalk her because she ASKED me to come and take pictures! She is so excited to start a new year!!!

A discovery by mommy...

We met a couple while we were at a wedding reception the other night, and something the man said has just struck me tonight. He told us to watch out, because once they are in school time just flies by! Today was a big day for our first born baby...sniff, sniff! First, Anna lost her 5th tooth (well I think Jake helped a little bit!). Second, we had her open house for first grade today! FIRST GRADE! Now, I realize, had we not done PreKindergarten she would be headed to second grade...YIKES! I just can't believe my little girl is going to be in school all day everyday! Her teacher will see her more than me this year. Waaaa! (or so it will seem, as I work weekend nights). I can't believe how fast it happens! Most days I am dying for my kids to grow up to help themselves, and today...I just wish time would freeze! God has truly blessed us with so many things, especially our children and our families and our friends!!!
