Robinette's Orchard

I was able to go to Jake's first field trip of the year to Robinette's today. They learned about apples, how they grow from a seed, and how they are used to make apple juice and cider. It was a lot of fun. There are over 20 varieties of apples there!! And they also taught the kids that they grow other fruit too, like peaches and apricots. Another big lesson the kids had to learn....bees are our friends when we are at an apple orchard....hard lesson to learn when you are so used to them stinging you!!! :)

HAIL to the Victors!!!

Mike and I and a couple of friends went to the Michigan/Bowling Green game today. We were part of the 109,933 people in attendance. This was my first time seeing the team go over to the student section and chant, "It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine". That is something that Rich Rod brought with him....bummer that Lloyd Carr didn't have them do that when I was a student there, it was pretty fun! :)

HHS football game!!!

Anna cheered in the second quarter of the HHS football game. She did awesome. We sat REALLY high up so it was hard to get a good pic since it was so windy. She had a blast! Their favorite cheer is "SPIRIT" which is the one they did at the very end!

It's school picture day!!! This is a before picture of how their hair and outfits are supposed to look. Stay tuned for the "after" photos!!!! They all wanted to show me how they planned to smile for the camera....should I be afraid???

The First Rocket Game!!!!!

AnnaJoy's first game was cancelled for the cheerleaders because it was FREEZING and raining. Today was their debut. The girls had a lot of fun. It was a fun thing to watch. If I am really ambitious I will put a few of their cheers on here.....

CJ's 3 year birthday party! :)

Calli Jo turned three on September 9. Today was her party (and the Michigan/Notre Dame game~ GO BLUE!) The kids had an absolute blast! :)

All ready with nowhere to go... :(

Anna's first Rocket game was scheduled for today...we got ready and even showed up at the rainy, FREEZING field...to find out that the cheerleaders didn't need to be there...thankful for that, sad for Anna....so I brought her for a milk and yogurt at McDonalds! :)

Luke ~ Preschooler

He wasn't excited was he??????






Luke entered into his final year of preschool today. We are using the elementary school that both the older kids go to for preschool this time. So he is in FULL days on Monday and Wednesday. So, after the big kids got on the bus, which Luke so badly wanted to ride, we set off for his first day of school drop off! As soon as we hit the door, he got a bit gun shy...as this was daycare for him last year....but quickly warmed up when he spotted his teacher! Have a great day Lukey!

Jacob ~ Kindergartener!!!!

My Jakey Jo is a Kindergartener. He is SOOOOO super excited! It's like he has waited his entire life for today! And what did I do??? Once he was dropped off and in his class??? I cried!!!! I can't even believe I am typing that!! Have fun baby boy!

AnnaJoy - Second Grader

It was windy and a bit cold, but AnnaJoy didn't let that hamper her excitement for the start of second grade! :)





Her teacher's name is Mrs. Quigley and she is super duper excited to learn all there is to learn about second grade! :)

Playing with Molly FINALLY!!!!

It has been over 2 years since our children have been able to play. Molly and Luke are exactly one month apart in age, and probably close to 20 pounds apart in weight! We praise God everyday for Molly's health! Her stem cell transplant over a year ago in March, has cured her! She has a clean bill of health and an adorable baby brother Drew to play with!
