Such a big boy!

Luke gets more stable every day with sitting up. He has been able to do it for over a month, but I can actually walk away and leave him sitting up. Of course he usually finds his way back onto his tummy, but he acts all proud of himself when he is sitting up!

Should have been a snow day

Daddy was bummed out that we got so much snow and he had to work!!! The kids had a great time playing in the snow. Looks like they think the deck is the most entertaining spot while in the snow. They took turns shoveling the snow, can you believe it? They actually shared nicely!!!! A milestone in our house!

Anna wanted to have a picture taken holding Luke, well then Jake wanted in on the action. So, up they all go on the chair. (By the way we were supposed to be getting in the car to get Anna to preschool!! There's always time for photos in the Rottier house!!

I wanted to try for some great 6 month pics of Luke, turns out Anna wanted to have some taken of herself instead. The natives were restless in the Rottier house today, all smiles for them...for me? A whole lot of clean up!!!!!!

Luke tries out food

We have tried rice cereal several times over the last few weeks and Luke just gags and makes aweful faces. So, at his 6 month check up the pediatrician told me to try fruit instead. Does it look like he likes that any better??? I'm thinking that's a no!!!

My little snow babies...er snow monsters??

I hadn't done a photo with Luke in the snow yet, can't miss an opportunity! So, off the the backyard we went. Luke hated every minute of the blustery winter wind! Jake wanted to roam around and Anna wanted to throw snow everywhere! Meanwhile, Reagan was running around the yard like his life depended on it! Ah, the Rottier home at our finest! Happy winter!

The anticipation of the big 6 month checkup!

Well, Luke made it back on the growth charts for weight (90%) He had his shots today and didn't cry for 2 out of 3 of them, but the third one his eyes about popped out of his head, he looked at me and started screaming!!! Ah the joys of motherhood! His stats you ask? 20 pounds (90th percentile) and 28 1/2 inches long (way off the charts!!) That's my boy!!!

Jake gets stitches...for the first time!

Well, I guess that giving Luke a day of celebration was not what Jake had planned for today! After a fun time at Deanna's Place, Jake bumped his chin just enough to split it wide open! So, the boys and I took a trip to the Urgent Care and Jake got 3 stitches. The doctor who did the stitches took one look at Jake and told me I was lucky he hadn't been in already...and that I might want to get a frequent flyer pass for the Urgent Care! Do they sell those???

Luke is 6 months old!!!

As is tradition for the Rottier children, we had cake for Luke, he didn't really know what to do, so he just stuck his face in the cake. Tastes good that way too!

The big kids like to "help" Luke play with his toys. As you can see from the photo of Luke looking at the camera, he gets a bit nervous from all the "help" he gets!!

Remembering Our President

Mike and I, along with Katie and a friend of ours went to view President Ford's casket on Tuesday night (which turned into Wednesday morning...over 4 hours in line!!!) Today I took the kids to the memorial in front of the museum. Anna was very intriqued by all the things that people had left for the former president. Yesterday at the end of the funeral broadcast as the flag was handed to Mrs. Ford, Anna happily told me that she had one of those in her class at school and could tell me all about it. She then recited the pledge of allegiance. It was a good feeling to be able to show Anna a glimpse of history and to also let her be a part of it as well.

I have taken a picture of each of the kids on this blanket in this outfit, in fact, I think that there is one on the blog of Jake from about a year ago! If the cute factor counted, Michigan would have won the Rose Bowl...unfortunatly it doesn't count.
