Our FINAL Preschooler graduates!

I never thought this day would come, but now that it has I have to admit I am a little sad! My babies are all growing up!

Tulip Time!!

Dave and Elin were in town for a visit, so we all went to see the tulips. The kids had a great time. I think it's funny how much BIGGER Luke is than Elin. They are just under 3 months apart!

Field Trip to the Farm

Luke's class went to a local dairy farm today. It was pretty cool because he got to pet a calf that was only a couple hours old and also got to watch a mama cow give birth to her first calf...yep, and now the questions have started! :)

Tball and Softball season are back!

Jake and Anna are in their second seasons of Little League ball. They both seem to enjoy it and did a pretty good job! :)

AWANA Closing Ceremonies

Isn't Luke outgoing? Whatever! He was being goofy! Luke is moving on to Sparks next year, Jake will be in his second year of Sparks and Anna will start TNT. They have all done an amazing job this year! :)

AnnaJoy's project got chosen for the district wide Art Fair. It was a lot of fun. We are so proud of her!

Luke's Preschool Trip to the Zoo

Luke's class met at the zoo today. Jake and I got to go to. It was a lot of fun! :)

Kids Clinic

So, Luke didn't make it through the clinic = no wrestling matches for him. But Jake did and placed 2nd in his weight division. He had a blast!

This is during a kids wrestling clinic that Luke is actually enrolled in. He is supposed to be listening to the coach (his dad) demonstrate a move...in actuality he is kicking a football (headgear)....sigh, that's my kid for ya!

Jake's Birthday Party!

A VERY talented friend of mine made Jake's cake for his very first FRIEND party. We had all the boys from his class plus some of his cousins come to Gymnastics Unlimited for a party. It was a lot of fun! I think the adults had just about as much fun! Especially Mike! He was launching EVERYONE off the horse into the foam pit.

State!

They lost 30-36 against Brighton but they did a great job! Mike's brother, Dave surprised him by coming to watch too. It was pretty special having the whole family there to help cheer them on! :) On a funny note, Luke had to go potty...and he has an issue with whether or not his bum is clean after he "goes". So I stood on the stairs between the stands watching the meet while he ran to go potty, which was straight from where I was.....in comes Luke with his pants down to his knees at the Kellogg Arena. He bends over and says Mommy is my butt clean!!!!! I am totally not joking! I thought I was going to die, but thanks to Carl Nystrom's match being a real nail biter no one else seemed to notice. Phew!!!!

GOING TO STATE!!!!!

Tonight Mike's wrestlers battled and beat Rockford and then Grand Haven to advance to the State Championships. We were all so super excited!!! And this time all my kids were helping roll mats with the Rockford guys.

District CHAMPS!!!

Tonight Mike's team beat Jenison and Granville to win the District title and advance to regionals. We were so excited for them. Jake fell goofing off with some of the JV wrestlers, so we had to find a trainer to help us with a HUGE scrape on his back ;( Then after the meet was done, Luke helped the Grandville kids roll up their mats....thankfully they were all very nice to him!

Jakey TURNS 6!!!!

I can not believe he is already 6!!!! Jake has to share his birthday with wrestling so parties for him are difficult, since I work every weekend and Mike is gone every Saturday. We had a nice little family celebration and plan to have an actual party for him in midMarch when all the wrestling is done! :)

Hudsonville BEATS Rockford!!!

Mike's wrestling team has been doing amazing this year, we are hoping to make a run for Team State. One big thorn in the side has been the inability to beat Rockford. They did it tonight in the tiny, very outdated auxiliary gym at Hudsonville. It was fun! (well for us Hudsonville Rottier's). Dan coaches at Rockford so it wasn't so fun for them, sorry!!!!
