It's not so warm anymore! :(

Same place as Anna sat yesterday, today...30 degrees colder and very, VERY rainy!! I love Michigan weather!!

It's above 80 degrees today!

It was such a glorious, beautiful, tease of a day today! It got up to almost 85 degrees here! AHHHHH! Anna insisted I take a picture of her with the wind blowing on her!!! (girls!) Pay no attention to the orange Dorito shoulder she has!!! Oh and the kicker, I was trying to leave for work when she decided this!!!! :)

John Ball Zoo

Jake had his class trip to the zoo today. Of course it was chilly to begin with (unlike tomorrow which is supposed to be upper 80's!) Luke came with us to see the zoo, and everyone seemed to love it! The first thing we saw were the ducks and flamingos. It was pretty cool, as I took the pic of Jake and a couple of his buddies a duck flew overhead, they thought that was the greatest!







Jake had a stare down with the tiger, which again, he thought was sooo cool! And, yes, leave it to my son to be the one who wants to JUMP IN with the bears!!!!!!!! Luke fit right in with the class, as he is actually taller than a lot of them!!! Too much fun and boy did we get a great nap after!!!

Molly is HOME!!!

After 32 days in the hospital, Molly was able to go home yesterday!!! Her transplant was on the 25th of March. She is making cells (YIPPEE), they don't have tests yet that say the percentage of hers versus the donor, but this is a positive thing! She still has visitor restrictions, but was welcomed home with a new bike and a big girl bed!!! She still gets TPN at night until she has more strength to eat on her own. The largest test for Molly awaits, it is on day 100 (counting transplant as day 1). She has a lumbar punture and other big tests that day. This happens to fall 1 week before Melissa is due to have her next child!!! Please continue to pray for Molly, Melissa and Scott during this time! Thank you so much!!!

This weather is awesome!!!

It was 70 degrees today and the kids were outside almost the entire day!! (Tomorrow and Monday are supposed to be very wet and cold so we are soaking it all up!) Luke learned how to swing on the big swing yesterday (as I can't pick him up for another couple weeks!) He LOVES IT!! Madi and Matthew came to play for the entire afternoon and evening, that kept the kids occupied until it was time for baths! Now they are in bed zzzz-ing away before church tomorrow!!!

Choo, Choo!!! Watch Out for the Train!!!

My kids discovered yesterday that they could be a train, going down the slide. Well, it's even better when there are more passengers! Calli Jo thought it was fun too! P.S. no children were hurt in the making of this post!!!! :)





Aunt Noelle wondered why we put the smallest on the caboose...it didn't take her long to figure out why!! The front of the train gets a little "trampled" at the end!! By did they have fun! Thanks Uncle Danny and Aunt Noelle for watching us tonight! (yes, they had 5 kids 6 and UNDER!!) And, everyone was in one piece when we got home!!!!!

Happy Easter from Our Home to Yours!

We were actually running a bit behind on getting to church....but who doesn't take a photo of their kids all dressed up on Easter morning??? Jacob sat wonderfully through the entire song service (which was over 35 minutes) then he asked to go to Luke's class (which he just graduated out of). The sermon was wonderful, it was great to be back at church again and to feel normal! We made a great dinner and all took nice naps. (A little too nice as we woke up too late to make it to Grandma and Grandpa's Easter evening program).

The Basket Hunt.....

Luke found his first, I think daddy helped a little! Then AnnaJoy and finally Jakey found his. They totally dug right into the candy before I could even think about "sugar patrol". Oh well! Happy Easter!!

Easter Egg Coloring....

Time got away from us, so we didn't color eggs until after bath time Saturday night...so the kids didn't get to do a whole ton, as I wanted them to stay clean for Sunday morning!! They were very excited about picking what color they wanted their eggs to be!

Good Friday, Cousins, Easter Egg Hunt and More!!!!!

Uncle Dave, Aunt Heidi and Elin came from Illinois to meet Baby Andi. In the Evening we got together at our house for a bit of fun. (Although Mike and I weren't feeling all that great, it was still wonderful to have everyone over!) We did miss Aunt Katie and Uncle Steve though!!!













Saturday was (is) Uncle Dave's 35th birthday, so we had cake. For some reason I am missing my # 5 candle, Uncle Dan figured Uncle Dave was good at math so would be able to figure out that the 1 and 4 together meant 5... I guess I missed several cute photo opportunities of Elin and my boys hugging....bummer, but I did get one! (yes I know, Luke is wearing Christmas pj's!). Thanks for visiting! :)

Thank you to AnnaJoy, Jake, Luke and Uncle Dave, Aunt Heidi and Elin for sending beautiful flowers to make me feel better! They made us all feel very cheery!!

An Update

We have been busy around here the past couple weeks! On the 31st I had a hysterectomy that proved to be a bit more painful than we anticipated. I was about 15 minutes from having to spend an extra night in the hospital...but didn't want to be the "wimpy" patient, so went home. I slept better at home but was in quite a bit of pain for a few more days. The kids and Mike were more than wonderful through this whole thing! It is also Spring Break, so we are trying to get things done around the house (as we usually do...only without the mommy help). I am (hopefully on the mend...I feel better today). Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes, cards, balloons, dinners, flowers and prayers. They all were very much appreciated!
