Dan and Noelle brought the kids over to see us today and brought some yummy lasagna as well! MMMM! Thanks! Always a sucker for photos of a newborn, even in discomfort, I decided to take some pics and I think they turned out great!!

Welcome Andilynn Noelle Rottier!!!!!

Dan and Noelle welcomed their second daughter into the world today at 2:12 am. She weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces and 19.5 inches long! (Now we have all had 7 lb. 7 oz. babies!) She is beautiful, has a head FULL of hair and looks quite a bit like her older sister Calli Jo!!!

Say a prayer for Molly

I talked with Melissa last week and the plan (as I know it as of now) is that Molly started her "intense" chemo yesterday...more than she has ever had. On Tuesday she will have a day of "rest" and Wednesday is the big day! She will undergo her transplant, which is actually an infusion that goes pretty quick. Please keep Scott, Melissa and little Molly in your prayers. She will be in the hospital for 6 1/2 weeks after to make sure the transplant "takes". Thank you so much!!

Mini update...

Well, the weather didn't stay (or at least the temperature didn't!) It's 38 degrees today (brrrr!). Yesterday Anna, Jake and I had our dental appointments...Anna must have KNOWN something was going to happen, as she was kind of obsessing about not wanting to have cavities! She was asking all sorts of "what it" questions. Well, her worries were correct and my only girl has a cavity. (sigh) She didn't seem too stressed about it until they schedule the "filling" appointment. Now she is very worried about what is going to happen. I, honestly, haven't said much, I told her it was like going for another cleaning...only next week instead!

Oh please let this weather stay!!!

Calli came to play this afternoon while her mommy got one final look at baby sister before she arrives in the next week or so! It was just beautiful outside so we all went in the back!! Tomorrow is supposed to be 70 degrees!! Sadly, Wednesday is back in the 40's!

My better half at work!

*I am putting a disclaimer first, that I will probably get in trouble for putting these on here from Mike* Wrestling season ended this weekend at the Palace. Mike had 4 wrestlers qualify and 3 place in the top 6 of the state. Every year I am usually DYING for this day to come, as we don't get to see Mike for months! This year I reacted so differently, I would have never, EVER expected the emotional ties that I have. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to watch him and his wrestlers in action. Although, most of Hudsonville was hoping for a state champ...we came up 2 points short. But, let me tell you, if my boys turn out half as good as that one has I will be so proud! I know a lot of people think wrestling is gross ect, but it truly is the only sport I can think of that you have to keep not only your body in excellent condition but your mind too! So, here is to my hubby. Thanks for letting us tag along all season! You have done great work and your wrestlers did too!!! I can't wait to see what next season brings!!!

Jake's Gymnastics Field Trip

Jake's preschool went to Gymnastics Unlimited today (which happens to be where Anna takes gymnastics on Tuesdays). Jake had a BLAST using all the equipment that Anna gets to use. He has been talking about how much fun it was to go and how he wants to go back! Busy boy! :)

Growing Up!

This is day 2 of GLORIOUS spring weather here! Yesterday it was in the 60's and today it is in the 50's! Yesterday we went on a bike ride and ended up at Anna's friend Taylor's house. They have been friend their whole lives, literally! Taylor's mom used to babysit for Anna when she was a little baby (and I think a few times for Anna and Jake). Taylor came to our house today to ask if Anna could come out and play. It was so cute! Anna (of course) took her up on the offer, but didn't ride her bike as she is still a bit skiddish about getting on by herself. (Michigan winters are too long for a new bike rider!). I had to be a stalker mommy and watch them walk around the LONG block between our house and theirs! I bet they have fun together!!! (sigh, I can't believe they grow up so fast!)

Reading a good book

Anna and Jake both have reading incentive programs going on right now. Anna for free Whitecaps tickets (baseball) and Jake for free pizza (Book It). Jake has to listen to someone read for 45 minutes a week for the whole month of March and Anna has to read for at least 15 minutes a day during the month of March. I think that Anna read 5 books this evening, only 2 to Jake as he got bored of her! Luke was more into "reading" to himself! It was a lot of fun!!

Jake participated in the Wrestling Kids Clinic last night and boy was he NOT shy! He is actually too young to be enrolled but you would never have guessed! I missed the first half of the session but I guess he was all about warming up and wrestling like the big boys on daddy's team! It was so fun to watch! And, I guess he as a pretty good "single leg". Couldn't tell you exactly what that means, but in wrestling language that is good! We let him stay to warm up with the 3rd-6th grade boys because Mike really wanted me to see Jake's pushups. Too funny is all I have to say! He had fun and can not wait to go again! Thanks daddy for letting him go!

We are sick!

Over the past 3 weeks one or more of the kids has been sick with something. (no GI stuff thank the Lord!) This week alone we have been to the doctor's office 3 times (once for each kid!). Luke had croup, so needed steroids. Jake had/has croup like symptoms, a strep rash and an ear infection and AnnaJoy has had fevers and an ear infection. All the kids have a different chorus of coughing going on, and fevers pretty much around the house. This pic is of Jake just before we left for Lansing...he needed a treatment to get his coughing under control! I think we are on the mend now...or at least I pray we are!

She is growing up and it makes me sad! These were taken today and on Sunday. She said, "Can you take my picture mommy while I am looking so beautiful?" I thought it was just too much to pass up! Did I mention I am sad that she is growing up!!??

This was the final "birthday" get together. It is really hard to figure out when to have a celebration for Jake as I work weekends and Mike has wrestling season. Jake didn't seem to notice, in fact, I think he rather enjoyed having 3 or 4 separate "parties"! There is a pretty funny video of singing "Happy Birthday" to Jake that I will try to download, but blogger has been grouchy about videos lately! If not, I am sure I will get it on my facebook!

Cookie Making Party with Uncle Danny and Calli Jo

Uncle Danny and Calli Jo came to visit on Friday night. It was a lot of fun. The kids played like crazy! Uncle Danny brought cookie dough, so everyone made cookies....well Calli ate a little bit of the batter (shhhh, don't tell her mommy!!!!) Then everyone got ready for bed and danced in front of the fire place. It was pretty funny actually! (I should have taken a video!)

Jake's last day of High School "preschool"

Jake went to a preschool lab at the high school for 6 weeks. This was the last day. He loved it so much! I think the biggests reasons for his passion were #1 it was at daddy's school and #2 (and maybe the bigger reason) is that one of daddy's wrestlers was his teacher! I don't remember high school guys being so receptive to preschool age children, but he was awesome about it! Jake is sad that his time is done with that school, and tomorrow is our last opportunity to watch wrestling...he is going to be one miserable boy after that sinks in! :)

AnnaJoy's Valentines Party

In the afternoon I also helped with AnnaJoy's party. If I haven't already said it, I can not believe how much energy her class has! They had a blast making crafts and playing bingo. I was also able to stay for the "opening" of the valentines. It was funny to hear Anna freak out with each on she opened! All the kids were screaming their thank you's to each other across the room. We hope everyone has a very happy valentines day! Our family will be spending it in the gymnasium at East Kenwood HS, as it is the conference wrestling meet that day!
